Why I create spaces for reflection, and why it matters.
I’m a creator and author who makes journals, prompts, and books for intentional reflection.
For decades, writing has been a steady part of my life—not as a method to fix anything, but as a way to notice patterns, explore decisions, and think more clearly on the page. Over time, that practice shaped the work I create now.
Paula’s Prompts began with a simple idea: reflection doesn’t need instruction, guidance, or performance. It needs a place to begin. The journals and prompts you’ll find here are designed to give your thoughts somewhere to land—without telling you what to feel or how to interpret it.
All of my work is published under A Red Lava, the imprint behind Paula’s Prompts journals and books. This site exists to offer thoughtfully made tools for people who value writing as a way to reflect, think, and pay attention—on their own terms.
